Coastal Bridge Pier Fiberglass Sleeve Strengthening Project
The Coastal Bridge Pier Fiberglass Sleeve Strengthening Project involved repair and protection of bridge piers exposed to tidal water, moisture, chloride attack and long-term erosion. The work area required reliable bonding, sealing and grouting materials that could perform on wet concrete surfaces and in underwater conditions.
For this project, Sino-Sina Building Materials Co., Ltd. supplied a complete underwater repair material system:
CBGM Underwater Anti-Washout Injection Grout – used for underwater void filling, local repair and injection grouting where washout resistance was required.
EGM-100S Underwater Epoxy Grout – used for high-strength underwater grouting and durable filling in the fiberglass sleeve system.
ZRETE Underwater Adhesive – used to bond and seal fiberglass sleeves to existing bridge pier surfaces in wet or submerged environments.
CBGM Marine Anti-Corrosion Non-Shrink Grout – used where marine durability, non-shrink performance and resistance to chloride/sulfate exposure were required.
The system supported fiberglass sleeve installation, underwater bonding, sealing of jacket edges, and annular gap grouting around coastal bridge piers. It helped restore the integrity of the pier surface, reduce water erosion risk, and improve long-term protection in a harsh marine environment.
This project demonstrates ZRETE’s practical material solution for coastal bridge pier repair, fiberglass sleeve jacketing, underwater adhesive bonding, and marine structural grouting.
