Polyacrylic emulsion mortar a two-component mortar provides robust anti-corrosion and waterproofing for concrete repairs across building and industrial applications.
Product Introduction
Polyacrylic emulsion mortar is a two-component mortar made from cement, and specialized emulsifiers, designed for anti-corrosion projects. Also known as acrylic emulsion cement mortar, it offers superior adhesion, water resistance, and corrosion protection. Its strength on steel is over double that of ordinary cement mortar, and up to 4 times on aged surfaces. It enhances crack resistance, carbonation protection, and density, with excellent frost resistance.
Used in waterproofing and corrosion protection for buildings like basements, pools, and dams, this mortar is also suitable for infrastructure such as bridges, channels, and hydropower projects. It’s effective in industrial settings like chemical warehouses, acid/alkali tanks, and concrete reservoirs. In alkali plants, it’s used to line ponds and towers for effective waterproofing and corrosion protection.

Product Usage
Surface Application:
Prime the Surface: Apply a uniform coat of polyacrylate emulsion cement mortar. Once dry and non-sticky, proceed to the main layer.
Application Method: Work in strips or blocks up to 12m² (maximum 1.5m wide). Stagger joints and wait at least 24 hours between sections. Pre-fix joint strips, remove after application, then seal seams with emulsion paste and mortar.
Mortar Application: Spread and compact the mortar firmly, smoothing in one pass. Pop any bubbles for a solid finish.
Vertical or Overhead Surfaces: For thickness over 10mm, apply in layers of 5-10mm, waiting until each coat is touch-dry before adding the next.
Topcoat: After 12-24 hours, apply a polymer cement slurry as a final coat.
Mixing and Curing: Use the mortar mix before it sets; avoid using gelled material. Cure with water spray or sealed plastic film for 7 days, followed by 21 days of natural curing.
Precautions:
Temperature: Apply at 10-35°C. If temperatures fall below 5°C, insulate the area.
Weather Conditions: Avoid application in windy, rainy, or extremely hot sunny conditions.
Material Protection: Shield the emulsion from extreme heat or cold.
Base Preparation: Do not apply to bases cured for less than 3 days. Dampen the base with water (no pooling) before use. For uneven metal bases, level with polymer mortar.
Testing: Conduct on-site testing of ratios and techniques before full application.
Clean-Up: Clean equipment immediately after construction.
Packaging and Storage: Liquid packed in 20kg, 50kg, or 200kg plastic barrels (12-month shelf life); powder in 50kg composite kraft bags (6-month shelf life). Store in ventilated, dry areas at 5-30°C, protected from sunlight.
