Hot Melt Epoxy Resin Adhesive E400 is primarily used as a waterproof bonding layer in steel bridge deck systems for highway construction, repaving, and renovation projects. Follow these steps for optimal results:
Surface Preparation: Clean the substrate (e.g., STC concrete or steel) to remove oil, moisture, dust, and contaminants. If a corrosion layer exists, apply after it cures; otherwise, proceed within 4 hours post-sandblasting.
Mixing: Blend Component A (resin) and B (curing agent) at 100:90 mass ratio using a power mixer until uniform. Apply within pot life to avoid waste.
Application: Use manual scraping, rolling, or mechanical spraying for even coating (1-2 mm thickness). Apply in two layers to prevent defects. For slopes, touch up any flow issues. Protect areas from splatter and avoid wind >10 m/s.
Optional Enhancement: Broadcast compliant gravel on the uncured layer for better traction; remove loose particles after curing.
Curing & Integration: Allow initial curing at room temperature. During hot asphalt paving, the adhesive melts for secondary curing, embedding aggregates for a tight bond.
Post-Application: Provide sufficient curing time (6-10 days); test on-site before proceeding. Ideal for crack repairs, asphalt-concrete bonding, and preventing water erosion in bridges.
Finished product is AB two-component package, A component is 9kg/barrel, B component is 3kg/barrel; (special requirements can be customized)
Unopened products are stored in a dry and cool environment at 5~30℃, the shelf life of the product is 12 months.
