Product Overview

Basalt fiber mesh (geogrid) is woven by basalt fiber with strong alkali and acid resistance as raw materials, and then processed with asphalt (adhesive) and dried into shape. 

Comparing with the elastic modulus of asphalt concrete, basalt fiber asphalt concrete at room temperature has stronger anti-deformation ability, and its breaking elongation is about 3.1%. Basalt fiber has the advantages covering high temperature resistance, freeze-thaw resistance (-260~650℃), consistent thermal expansion coefficient with asphalt concrete, high tensile strength, UV resistance, strong chemical stability, anti-aging, etc. Since the mixing temperature of asphalt mixtures is as high as 190℃, the high-temperature resistant basalt fiber is a new material that replaces the competitive advantages of polyester fiber and lignin fiber.
