CBGM-70 Underwater Grout in Shenzhen–Zhongshan Bridge–Tunnel Project
The Shenzhen–Zhongshan Link is one of the most complex cross-sea channel projects in the world, combining bridges, artificial islands, and an immersed tunnel across the Pearl River Estuary.
During construction of the immersed tunnel and caisson foundations, CBGM-70 Underwater Grout from Sino-Sina Building Materials Co., Ltd. was selected as the primary grouting material. This product offered:
Excellent anti-washout stability in tidal and turbulent water conditions.
High early strength to secure caisson positioning and load transfer.
Long-term durability against seawater erosion and chloride penetration.
Non-shrink and micro-expansion properties to eliminate voids and ensure uniform contact between caissons and the prepared foundation bed.
By providing consistent performance under challenging marine conditions, CBGM-70 contributed to the safe installation and long-term stability of the immersed tunnel units.
This landmark project demonstrates Sino-Sina’s capability to support large-scale underwater and offshore infrastructure, further strengthening our reputation as a reliable partner for international marine engineering.
