Project Overview

The Student Learning and Activity Center at Wenzhou-Kean University is a landmark academic building designed to support learning, collaboration, and campus life.
The project adopts UHPC (Ultra-High Performance Concrete) as a key architectural material, integrating durability, refined detailing, and a contemporary visual language.

ZRETE supplied and supported the application of UHPC exterior wall panels, stair treads, and exposed concrete floor panels, forming a unified architectural envelope across façades, circulation spaces, and interior–exterior transitions.

UHPC Applications

• UHPC Exterior Wall Panels
  Large-format UHPC façade panels were used for the building envelope, providing a clean, minimalist appearance with excellent resistance to weathering, staining, and long-term deformation.

• UHPC Stair Treads and Steps
  Precast UHPC stair elements deliver high load-bearing capacity, abrasion resistance, and precise dimensional control, ensuring safety and consistency in high-traffic public areas.

• Exposed UHPC Floor Panels
  UHPC floor panels were applied in selected circulation and entrance areas, achieving a smooth, architectural exposed-concrete finish with superior durability and low maintenance.

Architectural Value
