Linze Museum – Rock-Textured UHPC Façade Panels Project
The Linze Museum is a cultural building designed to reflect regional history and natural landscape characteristics.
To achieve a durable exterior with a strong material expression, rock-textured UHPC (Ultra-High Performance Concrete) façade panels were selected as the primary exterior cladding system.
ZRETE participated in the supply and technical support of UHPC decorative panels with a stone-like surface texture, applied to the museum’s exterior walls.

The façade adopts custom UHPC panels with an integrally formed rock-like texture, replicating the layered and stratified appearance of natural stone.
Unlike traditional stone cladding, the texture is created directly in the UHPC panel surface, ensuring consistency, precision and long-term durability.
Key characteristics include:
Natural stone-like visual depth and layered texture
Consistent surface quality across large façade areas
Clean horizontal lines and controlled panel joints
UHPC panels were selected for their suitability in public cultural buildings:
High compressive and flexural strength for thin-section panels
Low water absorption and strong resistance to weathering
Excellent dimensional stability and long service life
Reduced maintenance compared with natural stone façades
By using rock-textured UHPC façade panels, the Linze Museum achieves a balance between traditional material expression and modern construction technology.
The façade delivers the visual presence of stone while benefiting from the precision, durability and design flexibility of UHPC architectural panels.
