Overview
Hybrid wind turbine towers (concrete + steel) are built by stacking large precast concrete segments to form the lower tower section. The joint line between segments is critical: it must achieve full contact, resist moisture ingress, and transfer loads reliably under long‑term cyclic wind loading.
This project hub highlights hybrid tower builds where structural epoxy jointing adhesive was used for precast segment bonding and gap filling. Working with
Large-scale Wind Power Project Contractor, we supplied jointing materials for multiple wind projects across different climates and logistics conditions.
Why epoxy jointing for hybrid tower segments
Creates a rigid bond for load transfer and joint integrity during tower erection and service
Thixotropic “paste” consistency helps stay in place on vertical joint faces
Low shrinkage supports stable fit-up for large-diameter segment joints
Suitable for on-site assembly where surfaces may be slightly damp or temperatures vary
Material used
ZRETE Structural Epoxy Adhesive for Wind Turbine Precast Segments (two‑component, high‑strength, non‑sag) is designed for hybrid wind towers and other structural segment joints.
