On May 15, 2026, the “Beyond Boundaries, New Wind Towers Rising — Wind Power Hybrid Tower Full Industry Chain Development Forum” was held in Guilin, Guangxi. The forum brought together nearly 400 experts, wind farm owners, industrial chain enterprises and academic representatives to discuss the high-quality development of wind power hybrid towers.
During the event, Zhongde Xinya, also known internationally as ZRETE, was recognized as a drafting unit of the group standard T/CCPA 87—2026 Exterior Surface Coatings for Wind Power Concrete Towers. This recognition marks another important step for ZRETE in the field of wind power concrete tower protection materials and standard-based industry development.
As wind turbines move toward larger capacity and higher tower structures, concrete and hybrid tower systems are becoming an important technical route for onshore wind power projects. The exterior surface coating system of a concrete tower is not only related to appearance, but also to long-term protection, durability, weather resistance and operation safety.
T/CCPA 87—2026 focuses on exterior surface coatings used for wind power concrete towers. As a drafting unit of this group standard, ZRETE participated in the standardization work with its engineering experience in wind power materials, concrete protection and coating system applications.
The forum was hosted by the Wind Power Hybrid Tower Branch of the China Concrete and Cement Products Association, Beijing Tianshan High-Tech Wind Power Equipment Co., Ltd., Shanghai Electric Yantong (Mulei) Building Technology Co., Ltd., Shanghai Fengling New Energy Co., Ltd. and Zhejiang Huadong XinNeng Technology Co., Ltd.
With the theme of “Beyond Boundaries, New Wind Towers Rising,” the forum focused on the development of the full industrial chain of wind power hybrid towers. Topics included industry policy, market demand, tower structure safety, quality control, surface protection, lifecycle durability, supply chain collaboration and international development.
ZRETE has been working on material solutions for wind power infrastructure, including wind turbine foundation grouting, hybrid tower construction materials, concrete repair and protection systems, and exterior coating materials for concrete structures.
For wind power concrete towers, material performance must be considered throughout the full lifecycle of the structure. Coating systems need to withstand outdoor exposure, temperature changes, moisture, UV radiation and long-term environmental erosion. At the same time, the tower surface should remain stable, clean and protective during operation and maintenance.
The recognition as a drafting unit of T/CCPA 87—2026 reflects ZRETE’s continued commitment to technical innovation, quality control and industry standardization. It also shows the company’s active participation in building a more reliable and durable material system for wind power hybrid towers.
Wind power hybrid towers are a key part of the industry’s move toward taller towers, larger turbines and improved power generation efficiency. As the market develops, technical standards will play a more important role in guiding product quality, project acceptance and long-term performance.
ZRETE will continue to strengthen research, product development and engineering service capabilities for wind power materials. The company will work with industry partners to support safer, more durable and more standardized wind power tower construction.
ZRETE is a construction materials brand of Zhongde Xinya, focusing on high-performance materials for infrastructure, renewable energy, concrete repair, grouting, waterproofing, sealing and protective coating applications. In the wind power sector, ZRETE provides material solutions for foundation grouting, tower protection, structural connection and long-term durability improvement.
